OUAC GPA Conversion Table Guide
Canadian universities use several GPA scales. OUAC conversion tables are used for specific Ontario application services to compare individual course grades from institutions that report grades differently.
Why Canada needs conversion tables
Schools may report percentages, letters, 4.0 values, 4.3 values, 9-point grades or 12-point grades. OUAC/OMSAS normalises course grades with a scale assigned to each institution, instead of asking students to do a simple final-GPA ratio.
